TL 72 NE GOSFIELD THE STREET (EAST SIDE) 7/197 Post Office Stores and adjoining house to right.

GV II

House and shop with house to right. C16 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roofs. Two red brick chimney stacks visible from the road that to right with square attached shafts. Of complex plan, the front range with gabled 2 storey crosswings forward of central block which has a flat headed dormer. The crosswing roofs outshot to centre with a single storey flat roof between. Four C20 shop windows to ground floor and a 3 light C20 casement to right crosswing. Set back to the right of this range is a two storey and attic gabled range with one window range of vertically sliding sashes and a vertically boarded door to right. There are wings to rear. RCHM 9.
