- II
House. C17 and C18. Timber framed, roughcast rendered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. C18 front range of 4 bays facing SW, with internal stack at rear of left bay. Early C17 rear range of 3 bays behind right end, with axial stack at the junction, and single-storey extension beyond with end stack. 2 storeys. 3-window range of C18 sashes of 12 lights. 6-panel door, the top 2 panels glazed, in reeded doorcase, early C19, with shallow hood on profiled brackets. Roof hipped. In rear range, large wood-burning hearth in front bay, axial and transverse beams in middle bay, boxed in, and transverse joists of heavy square section in rear bay. Clasped purlin roof, original in rear bay, slightly altered in middle and front bays. The front range has one section of exposed framing, of hardwood pegged and jointed with primary straight bracing. On ground floor, partition between the 2 rooms removed.
