Details

ST BRIAVELS CHURCH STREET SO 50 SE (north side) 6/154 Monument to William Thomas in the churchyard c 14 m south of the chancel south wall to the Church of St Mary GV II Chest tomb. Late C18, limestone top on sandstone base. Flat top to chamfered edge, heavy square quarter balusters, slightly edge-drafted panels, chamfered base. To William son of John and Elizabeth Thomas, 1792. The south side of this monument subject to recent damage (November 1983) caused by fire having been made between it and the Thomas Berrow monument (qv) which lies directly to the south. This monument lies c 2 metres north east of the James Gough monument (qv).
