- II
Pair of attached cottages, now combined. Early C18, altered in C19 and C20. Timber framed, plastered, roof thatched. 4 bays facing E, with central stack. External stack at left end. C20 single-storey wing with tiled roof to rear of left end, and lean-to extension to right of it. One storey with attics. 4 C20 casements, and 2 more in C20 large gabled dormers with tiled roofs. Door in left return. Gambrel roof, half-hipped at right end. Date 1749 in modern cement panel at rear of left stack, possibly copied from an earlier original. Primary straight bracing. The central stack is C19, with a small hearth each side. In each half one chamfered transverse beam with lamb's tongue stops. Rafter couples halved at apices, no ridge piece.
