GV II
Pair of attached cottages, now one house. Early C19, extended in C20. Flint rubble with dressings of red brick, roofed with slate. Single-span range facing NW, with stack in each end wall. C20 crosswing of red brick at right end. 2 storeys. Ground floor, 4 original horizontal sashes of 12 + 12 lights. First floor, 4 original horizontal sashes of 15 + 15 lights. Plain boarded door, and one blocked doorway. Segmental arches over all window and door apertures. The rear elevation retains 2 original horizontal sashes of 12+12 lights on the first floor; one rear doorway blocked with a C20 window, the other enclosed by a C20 conservatory. One original horizontal sash of 12 + 12 lights from rear elevation re-used on first-floor front of C20 wing. Shown in the tithe map of 1839 (Essex Record Office, D/CT 335).
