Details

SW 97 NE ST MINVER ST MINVER HIGHLANDS 4/296 Lychgate to south east of Church - of St. Menefreda GV II Lychgate. Circa 1870-1875. Possibly by J. P. St. Aubyn who was responsible for the restoration of the parish church (qv). Ashlar stone side walls. Decorative slate hanging in the gable ends of the steeply pitched slate roof. Lychgate at south east entrance to churchyard. Rectangular plan. The slate hung gable ends are pierced to form trefoiled arches above the entrances. C19 timber gate within. Waggon roof. Similar in design to lychgate at south east entrance to St. Michael's churchyard, Porthilly, St. Minver Lowlands (qv).
