(Formerly listed as The Red House, HIGH STREET)
Large three storey dark red brick house of around 1816 by Charles Warren, fronting dwelling of early to mid C18 origin at right angles to the road altered and enlarged late C18. The road level was lowered around 1830 and realigned, resulting in the house being set back from and raised above it. Low pitch gable end slate roof, the eaves on small paired dentils. Three windows symmetrical recessed rather squat glazing bar sashes in stuccoed reveals with flat stucco arches. Pedimented porch with slender reeded columns and reeded pilasters to wall, dentil cornice and triangular pediment. Six-panel door in panelled reveal and soffit with semi-circular traceried fanlight. Single storey wing at east, parapet with flat stone roofing and three plain panels. Six-paned door with rectangular fanlight and flat bracketed hood. Modern window.
