Details
LITTLE MARLOW MARLOW ROAD SU 88 NE (WELL END) 5/90 Clarence Cottage GV II House, C17, part rebuilt Cl9, with C19-20 extensions to rear and right. Front rebuilt in whitewashed brick with some traces of original timbering. Left gable rendered and whitewashed. Old tile roof with ornamental ridge, rebuilt brick chimney with cogged cap between right bays, 2 storeys, 3 bays; C19 sashes to ground floor, C18-early C19 4-pane sashes to first floor. Cl9 4-panelled door between left bays in C20 gabled porch. Small C19 extension to right, raised and decorated with half-timbering C20, with C20 garage projecting to front. Interior retains timber framing in cross walls and part of original rear wall. Stop-chamfered spine beams, stop-chamfered joists in central room, some wind-braces.
