House and cottage. C17, the cottage much rebuilt c. 1950, the house rebuilt mid C18. Cottage has timber frame with brick infill to first floor, ground floor and rear rebuilt in brick, old tile roof, and central rebuilt brick chimney. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Barred wooden casements, 2-light to left, 3-light to right. Entry in left bay of house. Late C18 outbuilding, now part garage, attached to left is of brick with slight timber framing in gable and to rear. House has ground floor of flint with brick dressings, and upper storey of chequer brick. Old tile roof, rebuilt brick chimney to left, external chimney of narrow brick to gable of rear wing. T-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 5 bays. First floor band course, moulded wooden eaves cornice with plain modillions. Barred wooden casements: ground floor is irregular with one 2-light and one 4 light casement; first floor has paired casements in bays 2, 3 and 5, and blind window panels to bays one and 4; 2 gabled dormers with paired casements. Left bay has fine old 2-panelled door with C20 flat wooden hood. Single storey flint and brick extensions to right. Interior part timber framed.
