House. Dated 1627 John Trip on fireplace lintel. Part rebuilt in brick C19. Red brick to front and rear, gables rendered and whitewashed, brick chimney to right, old tile roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays, Wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars: 3-light to first floor; 2 paired windows with cambered heads to ground floor right; canted bay window to left. Entry in left side of C20 wing to rear. Interior has timber framing in gable and rear wall of left bay, central partition and right truss. Large curved braces. Stop chamfered spine beams. Ceiling paintings mentioned in RCHM have been whitewashed or removed. RCHM I p. 261 Mon. 18.
