5/17 Six Mile 20.2.80 Bottom Windmill (formerly listed as Six Mile Bottom Post Mill)

GV II*

Post mill constructed without side girts (H Wozniak) suggesting a date before 1600, rebuilt c.1846 with earliest carved date RB 1764. Weather boarded, without sails. Round tower of local red brick with two opposing boarded doors. Interior originally plastered has two grind stones in situ, cast iron sail shaft, 1874, and fittings. C19 wooden hoist and bins.
