WISBECH B1 MOUNT DRIVE The Mount

(Formerly listed as NORWICH ROAD (South Side), No. 144 (The Mount))

19.11.76 GV II Originally house C18 with early C19 and later additions. Local brown brick; slate and modern interlocking tile roofs. Two storeys with wing to left hand and rear range with two storey bay window facing west. C18 facade to north; stone coped parapet, three first floor, recessed, twelve-paned hung sash windows in cambered gauged brick arches. Two similar ground floor windows flank half-glazed door with small pseudo pediment in rectangle below flat arch of door. Built on surviving part of the ancient sea bank. VCH Cambs, p.238.
