WISBECH MUSEUM SQUARE TF 4609 (North Side) 6/126 No. 4 GV II

Terrace house on corner with Ely Place and designed with No. 3 Museum Square as flanking, entrance buildings to the Castle Estate. Local brown brick; slate roof, side stack. Three storeys and basement. Three 'bays'. Shallow stone coped parapet; stone cill band. Windows all sixteen-paned recessed hung sashes in cambered gauged red brick arches with three blind windows, one at each floor. Wooden, Doric portico eliptical in plan with flat canopy and moulded cornice. Six-panelled door. Return to Ely Place of two 'bays' has one twelve-paned hung sash window at first and ground floors with blind windows. Two fire insurance plaques. G. Annis, A History of Wisbech Castle, 1977.
