II

House. Mid-late C18, and c.1840. Local gault brick, part plaster rendered. Plain tiled steeply pitched roof with flush end stacks. Two storeys and attic. Two dormers. Central two storey canted bay flanked by two symmetrically disposed windows at each storey. The windows are now boarded. Adjoining on east side c.1840 part. Gault brick and hipped slate roof with bracketed wood eaves cornice. Projecting entry and hall bay has moulded wood architrave to first floor twelve pane hung sash above doorway with swan's neck pedimented doorcase, plain frieze-and entablature on panelled pilasters. Panelled door and fanlight with glazing bars. Two similar recessed window openings without wood surrounds to each floor. Adjoining on the south west a crinkle-crankle wall. Early C19. Red and gault brick, stretcher bond. Of approximately seven undulations with doorway in four centred arch.
