Details

CASTLE CAMPS THE END WAY, CAMPS END TL 64 SW (South west side) 10/55 Brownings Farmhouse II House. c1700. Timber framed, plaster rendered and part weatherboarded. Tiled roof, hipped at east end and ridge stack of two flues with a third flue added. Single range with domestic addition on south west. Four first floor C19 horizontal sliding sashes probably in original openings. Four larger similar ground floor windows. Doorway to centre bay. Interior has exposed chamfered ceiling beams. A house on the site is recorded in 1586 but the external appearance of the present house indicates a later date.
