House. Late C17 with mid C19 alterations. Gault brick with plain tile roof. Two storeys with attics and cellars; stair turret to rear. Main entrance to left of centre with six-panelled door, wooden doorcase with fluted pilasters and open pediment set in segmental arched shallow recess. Three ground floor near-flush-framed twelve-paned hung sash windows in cambered brick arches; three similar first floor windows. End stack to right hand and shared stack to left hand with No. 97. Two flanking piers one with ball finial. Interior details largely C19 with some C18 doors and exposed chamfered beams. John Hales, builder and carpenter owned No 97-99 in 1840.
