16/162 Nos. 76 and 78 22.11.67 (formerly listed with No. 80) GV II

Two dwellings, formerly one building. Late C16 or early C17. Timber-framed with rough cast render; plain tiled roof. Rectangular ridge stack with grouped diagonal shafts. Two storeys; original two unit lobby entry plan, in C19 converted to two dwellings. Two C19 entrances, one four-panelled and one six-panelled door flanked by two shallow oriel bay windows. Two first floor three-light hung sash windows. Interior: Exposed timber-frame with some early C17 painted decoration to plaster panels, pargetted plaster motifs possibly from an external wall resited on plaster panel, C17 brick hearths with stop chamfered mantel beams, C17 panelled door. No. 78 is linked to No. 80 at both floor levels.
