15/80 Wardens House to north of the Village College

GV II

Wardens House. c.1937. Architect S.E. Urwin (b.1892, d.1968). Modern movement style. Handmade 'Essex Primrose' brick by Collier & Co; concrete dressings to plain parapets and window arches. Two stacks. Two storey block with three staggered projections to west, central projection with main entrance and first floor corner window. Steel casement windows of various sizes. Included for group value.
