House. Late C16 or early C17, and C19. Timber-framed and roughcast rendered with steeply pitched tiled roof and ridge stack, rebuilt. End stack also rebuilt to left hand gable end. Two bay hall with lobby entry and crosswing to right hand. Shop or service wing addition to left hand of C19. Hall of one storey and attic. Two gable dormers with C19 casements arid two casements, also C19-C20, on either side of doorway to lobby entry. Six panelled door. Crosswing contemporary with hall. Two storeys with one casement to each. Inside: Framing is obscured except for one ground floor room which has stop chamfered intersecting main beams. One blocked inglenook and another to left hand end. Also includes No. 8 Barton Road. R.C.H.M. West Cambs., mon.(18).
