TL 4843 ICKLETON ABBEY STREET (North-west side) 21/208 Nos. 42 (Lena) and 44 (formerly listed as part 22.11.67 of 3 cottages on NW side of Priory Farm) GV II Three cottages and a shop now two cottages. C17 with C19 and c.1938 alterations and rebuilding. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof. C20 brick plinth; gault brick ridge stack to left hand and red brick rectangular planned ridge stack to right hand. One storey. Two boarded doors and four casement windows with glazing bars. Interior: Some exposed posts with curved braces to cambered tie beams. The cottages including Nos. 46, 48 and 50 were Charity Cottages. RCHM Report 1949.
