Details
TL 4646 DUXFORD ST J0HN'S STREET (North Side) 15/71 No. 4 22.11.67 II House. Late C16 with later C16 or C17 addition incorporating possibly an earlier building to the west. Timber-framed and plastered with plastered plinth. Plain tiled roofs. Two red brick ridge stacks and one gault brick end stack to right hand, and rear gable end stack. Two storeys. L-plan. Long jetty of three and one long bay, C19 dairy in lean-to to west. Original entrance blocked; C20 door to left hand, three ground floor shuttered windows include two casements and one hung sash window. Five first floor casement windows. Interior: Exposed floor frame with chamfered joists; wall plate with splayed under squinted scarf joint and cambered tiebeam in room to west.
