TL 3243 TL3244 BASSINGBOURN-CUM-KNEESWORTH HIGH STREET (North Side) 20/261 15/261 No 57 (The Limes) II

House. Late C16 or early C17 with C19 alterations and addition. Timber-framed cased in reused C18 red brick. Plain tiled roofs. Two storeys with attics. Rectangular planned red brick stack to main range and gault brick stack to projecting east wing. Hipped C20 porch with boarded door, two flanking canted bay windows with transomed casements. Two three-light transomed casement windows at first floor; two small hipped dormer windows. Tall transomed casement windows to east wing with patterned blind arch above first floor window, patterned barge board with drop finial, and ridge tiles.
