HEMINGFORD GREY MILL LANE 1. 5140 (west side) Mill House TL 27 SE 6/6 19.1.73 II 2. Early C18 house. Two-storeys and attics. L-plan. Plain tile roof, end stacks. Colour-washed brick. Three hipped dormers with horizontal sliding sash windows in moulded architraves. Symmetrical range of three modern casement windows at first- floor. Canted bay windows flank central doorway and one original hung sash window with glazing bars. Modern panelled door. Band between storeys. Interior: floor frames of slender joists and rough-cut main beams. (The Mill was demolished in 1958, some gears are in the grounds. Weather-boarded and pantiled timber-framed barns and open hovel to north were once associated with the Mill).
