Details
ST 58 NE PILNING AND SEVERN NORTHWICK ROAD (north side) BEACH Northwick 7/234 Sandford's Charity School G.V. II
School. Dated 1842 on name plaque, with later alterations. Coursed rubble, stone dressings, slate roof coated with bitumen, raised coped verges with kneelers and ball finials. 1½ storeys and 3 windows, each of 6 lights with wooden mullions and transoms and glazing bars, 3 gables, each with blind oval bull's eye and drip mould, plinth, weathered buttresses, corbels under eaves; gabled porch to right has door with 4-centred arched head and chamfered surround. West elevation has 6-light stone mullion and transom window at upper level, east elevation has 6-light stone oriel with hood mould, mask stops and relieving arch, blind oval bull's eye with hood mould above; rear has C20 1½ storey extensions. Interior: not inspected.
