ST 47 SE CLAPTON IN GORDANO C.P. CLAPTON LANE (west side) 4/1 Jasmine Cottage - II

House. Probably early C17 with later C17 addition to right, C19 and C20 alterations. Whitewashed rubble, part rendered, pantiled roof with brick gable stacks. 2-storey north front has gable to left with central stack, gabled porch to right with stone bench, inner door in chamfered frame, oven attached and projecting to left; straight joint to addition to right, has 2 single lights with timber lintels at ground floor, lean-to attached to right has door with timber lintel; right return rendered above lean-to, small single light at first floor to right of gable stack; left return has C20 2-light casement at ground and first floor, early lintel remaining at ground floor. Rear has 3-light casement with wooden ovolo mullions, iron stanchions and timber lintel at ground floor left, small 2-light casement under eaves. Interior: not inspected.
