Farmhouse and attached stable and barn. Mid C18 with C19 and C20 alterations
and additions. Rubble, limestone dressings, partly rendered, brick slate roofs
with stone and brick gable stacks. L-plan farmhouse with attached barn and
stable forming rear courtyard. 2 storeys and 4 windows, all sashes with raised
surround, stepped voussoirs and keystones, 2nd bay from left has Doric porch with
cornice and blocking course, 6-panelled door with overlight and plain surround
with pendant keystone; parapet and coping. Right return has rendered gable end
and rear wall of barn attached to rear. Left return has lower 2-storey rear wing
with 3 windows, all sashes with gauged brick segmental heads and brick surround,
central C20 door with triangular hood on wooden piers. Rear has gable end of
wing to right with 2-storey flat-roofed C20 addition to inner side and single
storey addition to rear with 2 1/2-glazed doors and C20 window; inner side of rear
wing has 2 C20 plate-glass ground floor windows; rear of main range has
catslide roof to 2-light casement and panelled and glazed door, C20 2-light
casement under eaves to right. Attached to left, L-plan range of stable and
barn, rendered, with 2 cart entries, stable door and 2-light casement with
segmental heads, 2 similar loading doors above; range to left has 2 stable doors -
with segmental heads, similar loading door to left, lean-to at gable end with C20
garage entry, weathervane on ridge.
The asset was previously listed twice also at List entry 1136444. This entry was removed from the List on 25th August 2015.
