WALTON-IN-GORDANO C.P. CLEVEDON ROAD (east side) ST 47 SW 3/117 Group of 2 barns and attached shelter sheds, walls and piers G.V. II Group of 2 barns, attached shelter sheds, walls and piers. Early C19 with some later alterations. Barns in sandstone rubble with limestone quoins and weathered raised coped verges, corrugated asbestos roofs to main barns, attached to rear left a double Roman tiled shelter shed, and attached to rear right a further barn with slate roof; 2 front barns attached by sandstone rubble wall with limestone piers, forming courtyard plan. North west elevation has gable ends of barns, each with loading door with segmental head; on inner side of courtyard, barn to right has central cart entry with segmental head and ventilation slit to each side, small brick lean-to to right; barn to left has central door with segmental head, window opening left and right with segmental heads, 2 loading doors under eaves, one to left with 2-light casement. At right return, barn has 2 loading doors under eaves and single storey lean-to along side with double Roman tiled roof, open-fronted with 8 bays and brick piers between, 2nd brick lean-to with door to left. Attached to rear gable end of barn to right, a lower barn with slate roof and corrugated iron to inner side; attached to gable end of barn to left, an open-fronted shelter shed of 5 bays, rear of shelter shed has 2 small 2-light openings, unglazed, with wooden frames. Connecting the 2 front barns, a rubble wall about 2 metres high and about 3 metres long, ramped down from each barn wall, with central pair of piers, square with plain flat tops. Interiors not accessible.
