5/86 West House Farmhouse
II
Detached farmhouse. Early C17 core with late C17 and C19 alterations and additions. Squared and coursed rubble with wooden lintels, some stone dressings and double Roman tile roof. L shaped plan. South west front of 2 storeys, 3 windows. All windows are 3-light C19 casements except central upper window which is of 2 lights. Central doorway with C20 part glazed door. End brick stacks and one stone stack to rear wing. Rear wall ground floor window is a 2-light ovolo mullion. C19 outshuts to rear courtyard. Interior. Ground floor left hand room has bar stop chamfered beams and a large inglenook fireplace; similar beams and smaller inglenook in ground floor right hand room. Above the cross passage on the former rear wall is a 2-light oak ovolo mullioned window.
