II
Farmhouse. C16 origin, enlarged C17, with C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Rubble, rendered, plain tiled roof with raised coped verges, brick gable stacks and stone ridge stack, part of rear roof pantiled. Former through passage plan. 2 storeys and 5 windows, all 6-pane sashes with wider central pane at first floor, ground floor has 3 similar sashes, 2nd bay from left has C20 gabled porch with panelled and glazed door, to right a 2-light casement and C20 door, attached to right a single storey pantiled lean-to; ridge stack probably on former external wall, 3 bays to left of earlier date. Left return has small single light with C19 stained glass at ground floor right, lighting fireplace; C20 flat-roofed garage attached to left, 2-storey rear wing has 2-light casement under eaves. Rear has to left, door and 2 C20 windows at ground floor, 2 C19 2-light casements at first floor; central C19 2-storey addition has two 2-light casements at first floor, 2-light and single light at ground floor, stack to right; pantiled catslide roof over addition to right, two 3-light casements with segmental heads and central plate-glass window at first floor. Interior: originally one room deep, room to left has very heavy beams, profile all chamfered, 2-light stone casement with ovolo mullion on former rear external wall, 2 wide stone fireplaces to end wall, with chamfered surround and 4-centred arch.
