SJ 36 SE DODLESTON C.P. CHURCH ROAD (South east side) 2/31 Lychgate canopy and wing walls, St Mary's Churchyard

GV II

Lychgate late C19, probably by John Douglas, and contemporary quadrant wing walls. Oak frame on sandstone plinth; half-hipped roof of Westmorland slate with red tile ridge; coursed red sandstone wing walls with steeply weathered flush copings. The roof is carried on jowled posts.
