4/37 Kidnall Grange Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse, mid C18 and early C19. Altered and added to. Brick, painted. Slate roof, tile ridge, brick stacks. T plan, 2 storeys with attics with lower 2 storey wing running back. Present entrance front, perhaps formerly the rear, has central doorway and stacks symmetrically placed to left and right, projecting from facade. Near flush sashes with glazing bars, in moulded cases; at ground floor is to left of door and has an arched head, at 1st floor is central. Recent ground floor window to right of door, and added porch. Right hand gable: bay window, 1st floor recessed sashes, with glazing bars, one blind, and attic casements. Pyramidal topped, moulded gable finials. Later rear wing: 3 windows, 3 light timber casements with Gothic heads, on ground floor they are below arched brick heads. Interior: 6 panel doors, broad oak floor boards; ledge and batten doors to rear wing.
