II
Cottage. Circa 1840 in Picturesque style. Flint-faced with stone dressings and roof with alternate bands of plain and pointed tiles and stone or terracotta clustered chimneystacks. Asymmetrical building of two storeys four windows. Original casements with cast iron octagonal panes. Left end bay has gable with curved and fretted bargeboards and full- height five-light canted bay. Next two bays have one two-light and one three-light dormers, six-light square bay to ground floor and arched stone doorcase with original half-glazed wooden door and tiled penticed hood on wooden brackets. A section with giant stone arch, with C20 glazing at time of survey, leads to corner window which is a six-light square bay supported on wooden brackets to first floor and lancet to ground floor. Interior has half winder staircase.
