House. Circa mid C17 with C20 extension. Rendered timber frame,
the ground floor faced and/or rebuilt in brick, painted.
Thatched roof with gabled ends. Central brick axial stack.

2-room plan. The central axial stack with back-to-back
fireplaces, forms lobby entrance at front. C20 outshut behind
right hand room.

2 storeys and attic. Symmetrical 2-window north west front. C20
horizontally-sliding 3-light sashes with glazing bars and C20
plank door at centre. Small early 2 and 3-light attic windows in
end gables. At rear C20 casements on right and C20 outshut on
left.

Interior: Right and left rooms each have chamfered axial beam
with cyma stops and large brick back-to-back fireplaces in
central stack with chamfered timber lintels, the right hand
fireplace has blocked oven and C19 iron range. Straight
staircase inserted against back wall of right hand room; the
timber framing-of the rear wall here has been exposed, it has
close studding, curved tension brace and a jowled wall post.
Exposed in the ceiling attic rooms are waney collars with clasped
side purlins above.
