II
House. Circa 1840. Red brick in various bonds; blue tile roof. 2 storeys and attic (now blind), symmetrical 3 bays. A one bay deep wing at the rear (south-east) completes an "L" shaped plan. A 4-panel half glazed door, in a fluted column doorcase, is approached up two Yorkstone steps and fronted by a gabled porch with shaped bargeboard on four unfluted Roman Doric columns. The porch is flanked by 20 pane recessed sashes with wedge lintels and stone sills. There are matching sashes at first floor level with one centrally placed over the porch. Wide replacement eaves fascia. The RH gable-end has four sashes and a blocked Gothic headed opening in the gable. The LH gable has a similar blocked gable opening but no windows below. At the rear there is a 6-light long staircase ribbon window with semi-circular radial bar head. Other rear windows are sashes and the door is 6-panel bead and flush. brick dentil eaves course at rear. Gable-end stacks. Interior Geometrical staircase with curtail steps cut and bracketted strings, stick balusters and continuous handrail. 4-panel doors with panelled reveals. Main ground floor rooms have modest plaster ceiling cornices.
