Details
BEESTON C.P. BUNBURY ROAD SJ 55 NW 5/4 Brook Cottage 1.3.67 GV II House. Late C17. Timber framed with brick infill and a plain tile roof. Two storeys. T-shaped plan. Entrance front: recessed portion at left of centre of 8 x 2 cells of small framing with angle braces on a stone plinth. Door at left and two and three-light casement windows to the right: Gabled wing at right with corner posts and angle braces but painted simulation timbering to the gable and lower wall. Two-light casement windows to ground floor and gable to the left of this are 3 x 2 cells of small framing. C20 dormer window at left of first floor. Right hand return: 5 x 2 cells of small framing with angle braces. Door at right and two 2-light ground floor casement windows to left. Above is one continuous C20 dormer window including two 4-light casements divided by a king-mullion. Outshut to rear. Interior: Chamfered ceiling beams to ground floor rooms.
