6/61 Dewes Lodge (formerly 6.1.66 included as part of Dewes Guest House)

House in street, formerly part of Dewes House (qv). C17 and C18. Limestone rubble, concrete tile. To street is in two sections, low left and higher, right; first part has a small horizontal casement and a 6-pane fixed light, formerly a larger opening to wood lintel. Right section in 2 storeys has the 2-light casements with flush beaded stone mullion in moulded architraves flanking lower 3-panel door to moulded stone architrave; small horizontal light over left casement and small stair window to eaves at right. Large brick stack at gable break between roofs, and external brick stack to left; roof lay- light. Back has one 12-pane sash over later doors and windows; gable end has an 8-pane sash and to left a 2-light casement, also single attic light left of stack. Right of stack are two 8-pane sashes. Interior not inspected. Origi- nally a service wing to Dewes House.
