6/17 The Butt of Sherry

GV II

Inn. Late C18. Coursed limestone rubble, plain tile mansard roof. Two storeys and attic, 2 windows. At ground floor a tripartite 4:12:4 sash and a display window in 4 lights to a shallow bow with pilasters and frieze with dentil cornice; the lights with Gothick heads. First floor has two tripartite sashes at ground floor, and all these to flat cambered voussoirs. Central 2-light hipped dormer; central 6-panel part-glazed door to cambered head. The shop bow has a series of upright orthostates as stall-board, and there is a flushgreensond plat-band at first floor level, below the applied name board. Gables rendered, brick stack to right. Interior much modified. Small courtyard to back and deep wing.
