Brownberry Barn

The description shall be amended to read:
House and barn under single roof. C17, C18 and early C19. Rubble with stone
slate and C20 corrugated asbestos roof, with stone coped gables. Quoins. South
front has barn to right with coursed watershot rubble with projecting through
stones. Ground floor doorway and 2 air vents, with 3 air vents above. Later house
to left, with doorway with ashlar surround, flanked by single partly blocked windows
with similar surrounds, beyond to right a further plank door, a shuttered window
and another plank door. Above 3 irregularly spaced hay loft doors . Interior
contains remnants of C17 smoke hood.

Byre and barn under 1 roof. Of 2 builds, C18 and C19. Rubble, stone
slate roof. 2 storeys. Byre on left: C18, coursed watershot rubble
with projecting through-stones, crude quoins. Ground floor: ashlar
stone surrounds to doorway and unglazed window. First floor: 4 air
vents. Barn on right: C19, rubble with crude quoins. Ground floor:
doorway and air vent. First floor: 2 air vents. Included mainly for
group considerations.
