BELLERBY CHURCH STREET SE 19 SW (south side) Church of St.John 7/53 13.2.67 II GV Church. 1874. Rubble with ashler dressings. Welsh slate roof. 3-bay nave with south porch and south west steeple, 2-bay chancel with north vestry. Porch : butressed and gabled, with chamfered pointed doorway. Nave: butress to right. Two 2-light windows with Y tracery. Set in wall between windows, a kneeler reused from earlier building, inscribed "FJ 1801". Octagonal ashler steeple with pointed louvred openings between strings. Chancel: 2 lancet windows. Copings, gable crosses. East window of 3 lights in Decorated style, and above a small opening like the head of a lancet window. West window: 2-light with Y tracery.
