Details
FIGHELDEAN ABLINGTON SU 14 NE (south side) 2/170 No 275 GV II Cottage. Mid C17. Timber-framed with brick noggings, thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays, with late C17-early C18 timber-framed bay added on to west end, and brick outbuilding to east. Living room with inner room, and parlour behind stack. Framing 2 panels high with reverse curved corner braces. Door originally direct to living room, with date 1665 carved-on lintel. Now entrance against stack with baffle lobby. Thatched porch and door with glazed panel. Paned timber windows, and two gabled flush dormers. Interior: Parlour has chamfered spine beam with diamond stop.
