WEST SCRAFTON WEST SCRAFTON SE 08 SE 7/148 The Old Inn (formerly listed as Moor Hen Farmhouse [occupied 13.2.67 by Mr R Hogg]) GV II

Inn, now house, and outbuilding to left under same roof, with lean-to outbuilding projecting to left. Early C18. Coursed rubble, stone slate roofs. 2 storeys with rear outshut, 3 first-floor windows. House: quoins to right. Central board door in slightly-chamfered quoined ashlar surround, with cornice above. Flat-faced mullion windows in ashlar architraves, of 3 lights except for single light above door. Shaped kneelers, moulded ashlar coping. Corniced stacks to ends of house and over door. Lean-to outbuilding projecting to left: former cart-house, now garage, with segmental-arched opening on right return. Within it, board door in ashlar surround to outbuilding to left of house. Rear: tall chimney rising from outshut. Left return of outbuilding to left of house: stone steps up to first-floor board door. Interior of house: doors of 6 fielded panels, with H hinges, to cupboards flanking fireplace in ground-floor room to left, formerly the bar; central stone staircase.
