BISHOPDALE B 6160 SD 98 SE (south-east side, off) 5/9 Howgill, farmhouse and attached outbuildings - II

Farmhouse with outbuildings under 1 roof. Early C18. Rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. House, in centre: coursed rubble, T-shaped plan. 2 first-floor windows. Rough quoins to left. Central part-glazed board door. Flat-faced mullion windows in ashlar surrounds with dripstones, of 3 lights on ground floor and 2 lights on first floor. On ground floor to left, blocked fire window. End stacks, that to right C20 rebuilding. To right, outbuilding with rough quoins to right and stone steps up to first-floor board door and board door to ground-floor fuel store. To left, added outbuilding with rough quoins to left and 2 board doors to ground-floor stables, 2 shuttered first-floor openings. Rear of house: added projecting gabled 2-storey range. Quoins. On ground floor, 2-light window; on first floor, 4-pane sash window. In left return of gabled range, board door in ashlar surround.
