Barn, now house. c1760. For Robert Conyers Darcy, Earl of Holderness, of Hornby Castle (qv). Coursed rubble sandstone with ashlar dressings, C20 pantile roof with stone slates at eaves. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Plinth. Quoins. C20 doors and windows. Ground floor, from left: 2 recessed porches below timber lintel of older opening; 12-pane unequally-hung window; stable door. First-floor band. First floor: 12-pane unequally-hung sash windows with wedge lintels and projecting sills. Eaves band. Rear: plinth. Quoins. First-floor band. Three C20 windows on ground floor; 3 first-floor C20 12-pane unequally-hung sashes with wedge lintels. This building forms part of a formal composition with the house and the barn to the south-west of the house. Included for group value.
