NY 80 SE MUKER B 6270 (east side), Greens
7/123 Greens South Farmhouse, and attached byres, stable and cart shed
GV II Farmhouse and byres under 1 roof, and attached stable and cart shed. Dated 1731, with C19 additions. Rubble, stone slate roof. Farmhouse: dated 1731. 2 storeys, 2 bays, double-depth plan. Central part-glazed 4-panel door in ashlar surround with impost jambs on plinths. Scar of segmental pediment above. Bay to left of doorway: 4-pane sashes in ashlar surrounds with slightly-chamfered lintels and sills. Further to left, chamfered fire window on ground floor. Bay to right of doorway: 4-pane sashes in plain ashlar surrounds. 2-span roof. End stacks. Rear elevation contains 2 A "E H" datestones, one inscribed 1731 reset from front range, the other "EAA 1839", dating the added rear range. Reset C18 window surround, and round- headed landing window in stone surround of 1839. Byre to right: 2 storeys. Ground-floor doorway: ashlar surround with interrupted jambs beneath slab canopy on shaped slab brackets. Pitching door on first floor. Lower 2- storey stable with hay-loft above projects forward to right. Byre to left: 2 storeys. 1 C20 ground-floor window, and hayloft with first-floor board pitching door, shaped kneeler, ashlar coping to left. Single-storey cart- shed projects forward to left, with lintel with roughly-arched soffit; 2- light mullion window in right return.
