BENTHAM GREYSTONE GILL SD 66 NE 6/12 Lane Foot Farmhouse and Cottage - II Farmhouse and cottage. C17, refronted late C18. Watershot masonry, stone dressings, stone slate roof. House: 2 storeys, double fronted. Central entrance has plain surround; 6 panel door. Windows have 2 lights, with flat-faced mullions except right-hand upper floor which has a moulded surround and recessed flat-faced mullion; sashes and fixed lights. Ground floor right hand window has slate drip- stone. Right-hand gable end ridge stack. Cottage to left, 2 storeys, 1 bay. Right-hand entrance has plain surround; plank door. To left is one 2-light flat- faced mullioned window per storey. Right-hand ridge stack At rear is right-hand 2-light cavetto mullioned chamfered window on both floors with blocked single- light round-headed window on upper floor behind cottage.
