AUSTWICK MAIN STREET SD 76 NE (north side) 8/26 Game Cock Inn GV II Inn. C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Pebbledash, painted stone dressings, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Entrance left of centre has plain surround,5 panel door, upper 2 glazed. C20 entrance on right-hand side. Projecting 2-storey outshut, in third bay contains one window per storey: C17 two-light chamfered mullioned on ground floor and late C19/early C20 three-light chamfered window on upper floor; C20 casements. 3 remaining ground floor windows are: C17 two-light double chamfered cavetto mullioned with hoodmould; plain surround, sashes without glazing bars; similar but wider window with C20 casements. Remaining 3 upper floor windows are: early C20 with metal casements; former 2-light double chamfered with mullion missing. C20 casements; 2 C19 two-light flat-faced mullioned, sashes without glazing bars. Right-hand gable end, right of centre end left-hand ridge stacks.
