Chimney to Engine House at Cononley Lead Mine

Chimney to Engine house, c 1842, probably by Stephen Eddy, for the Duke of Devonshire.
Coursed squared stone. Circular in plan. Tapering chimney approximately 50 feet high.
Ovolo moulded band near top and another 12 feet lower. Later patching of stone near
the base. Part of a group of lead mine buildings at Cononley which were erected by
the Duke of Devonshire's agents between 1842 and 1847.
