House. Late C18 - early C19. Coursed sandstone, Westmorland slate roof. 2 storeys, 1:3:1 bays, double-depth plan. Chamfered rusticated quoins. The central 3 bays project slightly and carry a pediment with ashlar tympanum. Central door of 6 fielded panels below fanlight with Gothick glazing bars in round-arched ashlar architrave with pilaster capitals, within doorcase of engaged Tuscan columns carrying fluted frieze with quatrefoil paterae and pediment. Sash windows with glazing bars in architraves. Hipped roof. Stacks rising from outer sides of U-plan roof. Left return: rubble; two 6- panel doors in ashlar surrounds; staircase window with round-arched ashlar surround to arch, sash with glazing bars, intersecting at top; detached windows forming Venetian-type effect, the right light blocked. Interior not inspected.
