9/7 No 50 (Station 23.8.78 Farmhouse) (Formerly listed under Bishopdyke Road)

House. Probably mid-late C17, with late C18-early C19 alterations and additions including outshut to right gable and 2-storey range to rear. Narrow reddish-brown brick,wooden doorcase, stone kneelers and remains of coping to gable ends, renewed pantile roof. Lobby-entry 3-room plan. 2 storeys, 3 first floor windows. Moulded plinth. Entrance between second and third bays from left has C20 glazed door in C19 pilastered doorcase with hood, flanked by engaged pilasters rising almost to top of first floor windows on pedestals with traces of stucco in inset panels. C20 Yorkshire sashes under segmental arches. C20 sashes with glazing bars under elliptical arches above. Patched brickwork indicates former position of windows of wide proportions probably mullioned. Modillion eaves cornice. End and ridge stacks. Interior: bressummer beam over kitchen fireplace. To left-hand room a corner cupboard remains from original panelled room.
