Small house in row. Mid C19. English garden wall brickwork, slate roof. A small row house, formerly one of a pair, the other has been incorporated in the The Rodwell, Rodwell Road (qv). Two storeys and attic, one window; a raking dormer with sash above a bowed oriel with fine modillion cornice, with 4:4:4-pane sashes, above a plain sash. To the left, in an elliptical brick arch a four-panel moulded door to a shallow fanlight. Moulded wood cornice, broad brick stack to the right gable. The rear, set high above Franchise Street includes a 12-pane sash.

INTERIOR: not inspected.

SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: rear is contained by a rubble retaining wall approximately 3m high, which adjoins the return wall from The Rodwell to the right (qv), and continues to the left behind Nos 8 to 6 (not included).
